Scooby’s Snacks

  • 1 lb. liver, chopped
  • ½ cup warm water
  • ½ cup powdered dry milk
  • ½ cup wheat germ
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup corn meal
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

Liquefy liver and water in food processor. Pour into large bowl and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well and pour onto greased cookie sheet. Spread evenly. Bake at 350 F degrees for 30 minutes. Cut quickly into squares while hot. Store in freezer.


Chase’s Cheese Bites

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened
  • ½ cup milk

Mix flour and cheese together. Add the softened butter. Slowly add milk till a stiff dough forms (note: all the milk may not be required). Knead on a floured board for a couple minutes. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into shapes and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in oven at 350 F degrees for 15 minutes. Let cool in oven with the door slightly open till cool and firm. Keep in refrigerator or freeze for a later date!


Toto’s Tuna Treats

  • 12 oz canned tuna - do not drain
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups unbleached all purpose flour
  • Grated parmesan cheese

Mix fish, garlic and eggs in food processor or mix in a bowl, blending thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients and mix until well blended. Pour into a 9x9-inch greased pan.
Bake at 350 F degrees for 20 minutes. When cooked, they will have a putty -like texture and the edges will pull away from the sides of the pan. Let cool and cut into bars. These bars are easy to break up but don’t crumble easily. Allow to cool thoroughly before putting into a sealed container. Keep in refrigerator or freeze for a later date!


Buster’s Biscuits

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • ¾ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup shortening
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ cup rolled oats
  • ½ tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Put the honey and the peanut butter into a bowl and microwave for 20-25 seconds. Remove and add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Drop the dough by spoonfuls onto a baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Makes approximately four dozen.


Honey Apple Dog Muffins

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 ¾ cups water
  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ½ apple diced
  • ¼ tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup chopped peanuts
  • 4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350 F.
In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix well. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into a greased muffin tin, filling about 2/3 full. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Once cool stored in sealed container.
