Puppy potty training can be accomplished with ease if you follow these principles. Typically when training your puppy to go potty the old training style used to dictate that you punished the dog for going potty inside the house by rubbing their face in it. When puppy training you do not want to rub your puppy’s face in their potty accident or it will impede your potty training schedule. Many people argue that this is how to potty train a puppy because it teaches them what they have done wrong. When punishing a puppy for going potty in the house you will teach your dog that going potty in front of you is dangerous so they will hide future potty accidents...

Dog trick training can consist of any dog trick you can dream up. The best dog tricks are ones that are unique that no other dogs or very few dogs can do. For dog trick training you can capture unique and weird dog tricks by rewarding your dog every time they perform this trick.

Before you begin to teach your dog tricks you need to have a cue that your dog understands as having completed a behavior that will earn your dog a reward. A simple way to mark a behavior is to use the word “Yes”. To make this reinforcement cue have value to your dog when teaching tricks you can get 20 to 30 small pea sized treats. It does not matter whether your dog is sitting, standing or lying down you can say “Yes” and give them a treat. After repeating this with two or three sessions your dog should perk their ears whenever they hear “Yes”...

Car sickness in dogs is typically a result of anxiety and fearfulness of riding in the car. Many times dog guardians only take their dogs for car rides when going to the veterinarian, groomer, dog kennel or any other variation. First thing you need to test is to find another human passenger and go for a drive. If they get car sick then maybe it is your driving that needs improving. If this is not the case then read on.

Teaching your dog Name Attention will go a long ways towards your training efforts. If you have a dog that looks to you to get the things they want you will have a much more focused dog.

Jumping is a common occurrence among dogs and is also a commonly frowned upon occurrence among humans. Each dog is different than the last and some are more jumpy than others. There are different methods you can use to stop jumping so we will list all of the methods we have come to find that work.

Barking can cause problems for you when it becomes a nuisance and your neighbours complain. Barking can also result in fines for you if you don’t seek a solution to keep your dog quiet. Most importantly barking can tell you that your dog is bored out of their mind and you need to give them something constructive to do.

Your job to get your dog to stop pulling on leash is to not tolerate pulling on leash at all.
